The resting place of an Arizona ranching pioneer was lost some years back. A headstone was removed to preserve it while improvements were made to the area surrounding the original home in the late 1800s. That headstone was lost throughout the years and the original family wanted to place a new memorial, but the location of that site had been lost to faded memories and time. Boomer was brought out and with some adjustments to his training was able to locate this lost site. A new headstone along with a native desert tree will now honor this pioneer.
You work search dogs and are amazed at the contributions they make to our community and other communities throughout our country. Then one day you get an email requesting their help in ways you never imagined possible...and they go out and get it done asking for only a game of tug and two meals a day...that is why we love and respect our canine partners.
